Job Description

The Health Service Executive - Dublin and North East Region is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Engineering Professional to join its team. This role is responsible for carrying out all Clinical Engineering duties in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

The Clinical Engineering Department provides a service to all wards/departments within the Hospital, including maintenance, repair, and calibration of electro-medical equipment, as well as installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold a minimum recognized qualification at National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 7 or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Instrument Physics, Industrial Instrumentation, Applied Physics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Biomedical Engineering fields.
  • Have a minimum of three years postgraduate satisfactory and relevant experience in an appropriate medical industrial field, including at least three years in a clinical engineering environment.
  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

A panel may be created from which permanent, temporary, and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
