Technical Sales Role in Mechanical Engineering

This role involves frequent travel to Ireland and Scotland, covering a technical sales position with a world market leader in mechanical engineering. The successful candidate will work remotely from home and visit customer sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Win new customers within targeted markets such as Power Generation, Defence, Commercial Vehicles, Hydropower, Diesel & Gas Engines, Cranes, and Construction Machines.
  • Nurture existing client relationships and develop new opportunities.
  • Provide bolting solution support at customer sites and work with the sales manager to develop a sales plan for the territory.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A proven track record of success in industrial sales (4-10 years of experience), preferably with OEM products.
  • Educated in mechanical engineering (apprenticeship, HND, or degree level).
  • Excellent communication and customer development skills along with structured and organised working methods.
  • Ability to work independently and regularly visit customer sites within Ireland and Scotland.
  • Capacity to establish relationships with new people quickly and learn technical knowledge as required.
