Job Summary:

As a kitchen porter, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting the culinary team with daily tasks and duties. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and presentation
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Collect and wash all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
  • Clean crockery and cutlery to a high standard
  • Ensure all food preparation areas are sanitized and clean
  • Participate in kitchen/off-site training sessions as required
  • Take direction in and apply the safe and correct usage of each piece of kitchen equipment
  • Be involved in the daily service operation as directed by the chef de partie/sous chef
  • Support the section 'close' following cleaning procedures as directed by the chef de partie/sous chef
  • Carry out unit food hygiene checks as directed by the senior kitchen team

Requirements:

  • Ability to work 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and late evening shifts
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
