Healthcare Leader Job Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time position in a nursing home located in Dublin South.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Nursing to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing daily clinical operations with empathy and professionalism.

Key responsibilities include promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety for both residents and staff, driving continuous quality improvement, ensuring full compliance with HIQA regulations, and overseeing risk management, safeguarding, and best practices in elder care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Older Person Care, with a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience and at least 3 years of management experience in health or social care.

A post-registration management qualification and knowledge of Health Act, HIQA guidelines, NMBI Scope of Practice & Code of Professional Conduct are essential.

Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration.
  • Management qualification in health or a related field.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in Older Person Care.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in health or social care.
  • Post-registration management qualification.
  • Must have a knowledge of Health Act, HIQA guidelines, NMBI Scope of Practice & Code of Professional Conduct.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate diploma in Gerontology.
  • Additional management qualifications.
  • Strong IT and digital skills.
  • Awareness of international best practices in elder care.
