General Practice Opportunities in Ireland

We are seeking experienced international doctors to work in rural GP practices for a minimum of two years. This role offers self-directed learning, mentorship, and ongoing support from Ireland's official General Practice training body.

Upon completion of the program, you will earn MICGP certification, enabling you to register as a Specialist in General Practice in Ireland.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Irish Medical Council registration in progress
  • A medical degree from outside Ireland
  • Internship completed in South Africa (with a minimum duration)
  • At least 3 years of full-time general practice experience, treating all age groups for acute and chronic conditions in a primary care setting
  • Minimum 3 months of experience in both general medicine and pediatrics
  • Proof of good standing from your medical regulatory body
  • English proficiency: IELTS (7.0 overall, no section below 6.5) or OET (minimum B in all areas)
