Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled VAT Specialist to join our team. As a VAT Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Irish VAT legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Contribute to VAT planning, advisory, and consultancy projects, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Liaise with clients, Revenue, and internal teams on VAT-related matters, maintaining open communication channels.
  • Support VAT audits and manage responses to Revenue authorities, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Identify VAT risks and opportunities across client portfolios, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop process improvements and technical training initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualified or Tax Technician with a minimum of 5 years' VAT experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish VAT, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and developments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and results-driven individual, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A team player, committed to delivering exceptional service and contributing to a positive work environment.
