Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and review the work prepared by the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping, payroll, cash and bank control, and CSO returns.
  • Manage the organization's financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing insights to enhance profitability and control costs.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss account, balance sheet, and cash flow, to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly revenue, labour, and overhead reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive business success.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on all aspects of past and forecasted business performance, including variance analysis, to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and improve financial performance, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to department heads and staff members on best practice financial control, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in consultation with senior management, aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Offer financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, driving business growth and sustainability.
  • Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial transactions, and prevent fraud.
  • Conduct regular audits, implementing corrective actions when necessary, to maintain financial integrity.
  • Lead and manage the finance team, promoting collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
