Role Overview

The Graduate Support Worker position presents a unique opportunity for professional growth and personal development.

This role is part of a multi-disciplined team, utilizing holistic approaches to support service users.

Empowering residents to manage their lives is a key principle guiding this role.

The 7-day week rota will require flexibility and adaptability from the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting service users in developing daily living skills.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment, including communal areas.
  • Encouraging service users to take responsibility for their own environment.
  • Attending key worker sessions with service users as required.

This list is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be added over time.

Programme Outcomes
  • Working effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Developing and implementing personalized support plans.
  • Providing presentations on experiences and learnings throughout the programme.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A qualification in the Social Care field is essential, alongside relevant experience and voluntary work.

Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of homelessness and the complex needs it presents.

Knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector resources is also crucial.

Effective communication and computer literacy are necessary for success in this role.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Desirable: driving license.
Registration Requirements

Successful candidates will need to register with CORU or demonstrate existing registration within the Social Care sector.
