Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Willow Implementation Specialist to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance to clients and stakeholders throughout the entire implementation lifecycle of our Epic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for the design, build, and testing phases of Epic system implementations.
  • Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and develop functional specifications.
  • Lead small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements.
  • Participate in design and validation sessions, ensuring appropriate documentation and issue escalation occurs.
  • Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle and perform unit, system, and integrated testing tasks and activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree required (Associate, Bachelor, Master) or minimum proven years of healthcare experience.
  • Active/Epic certification in at least one area (Willow, Beacon).
  • Direct client healthcare domain knowledge (clinical documentation workflow, patient portal, closing encounters, patient flow).
  • Ability to demonstrate team management, cross-team communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
