Special Care Support Worker

This role involves working with vulnerable young people in a short-term, stabilising environment. The successful candidate will participate in the development and implementation of care plans and promote the welfare of each individual.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in social care, preferably with young people or in a residential setting. They should be able to work effectively in challenging environments and understand therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement care plans for individuals
  • Promote the physical, emotional, social and educational welfare of each young person
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive team environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or a related field
  • At least 6 months' experience working in social care (placement experience considered)
  • Ideal experience working with young people or in a residential setting
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and understand therapeutic interventions
