Job Summary

The role of a support worker involves providing assistance with daily activities and implementing care plans for residents and tenants in the community.

  • Personal care is provided to service users, promoting dignity and wellbeing.
  • Support plans are implemented with clients as directed by the project worker.
  • Cleaning, shopping, general housekeeping, and other tasks are assisted with as identified.
  • Service users are reminded to take their medication and provide relief care as required.
Key Responsibilities

The support worker will work within the framework of the overall objectives and policies of the organization.

  • Support tenants in maintaining their homes and managing personal care.
  • Work as part of a team, reporting concerns to the project worker or team leader.
  • Ensure confidentiality in all matters concerning individuals using our service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Level 5 QQI Healthcare qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of one year's post-qualification experience in a related field.
  • A full clean driving license and access to a car.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
