Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Description:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering expert nursing care to patients afflicted with neuromuscular diseases, characterised by muscle weakness, atrophy and sensation disturbances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality specialist nursing services to patients within the remit who require support and treatment throughout their care journey.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments incorporating physical, psychological, social and spiritual elements of care, grounded in best evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and be professionally accountable for actions and omissions.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the relevant governing body.
  • A minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience in the specialist area of Neuromuscular Disease.
  • Successful completion of a post-registration programme of study in Neurosciences.

Working Arrangements:

37.5 hours per week.

Location:

Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Benefits:

Appointment will be made on CNS/Candidate CNS Pay scale in line with Government pay policy.
