Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage day-to-day loan fund accounting for debt structures containing loan portfolios under the guidance of a senior financial professional. The successful candidate will be part of a growing team responsible for loan servicing and private credit department operations based in Kilkenny.

Key duties include:

  • Managing bookkeeping for various debt funds, portfolio companies, and associated fund structures while liaising with clients and intermediaries as necessary.
  • Completing all financial accounting aspects for a portfolio of fund structures, including daily posting, general accounting, statutory financial statement preparation, and ad-hoc investor queries.
  • Maintaining accurate records on the accounting system eFront FIA for required aspects of different significant financial statements line items.
  • Reviewing daily/weekly bank reconciliations to ensure Loan and GL transactions are up-to-date and providing supporting documentation.
  • Addressing routine audit queries and requests.
  • Managing client communications for daily operations.
  • Growing technical knowledge of private credit/debt instruments to agree loan processing transactions and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Fund accountant-level knowledge of loans, loan components, and accounting practices.
  • A relevant degree in accounting or finance (bachelor's or master's).
  • Possession of a relevant professional qualification or partial completion (preferably ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for close working relationships with colleagues.
  • Strong technical financial services experience supported through company training programs.
  • Computer literacy skills.
