OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Manager 3 to lead our nursing team in the Orthopaedic Trauma department. This is a key leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex patient care, developing and implementing effective policies and procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. They will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting junior staff members, contributing to the development of nursing policy and practice, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the nursing team in the Orthopaedic Trauma department, ensuring that all staff members are working effectively and efficiently to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practice and meet the needs of patients, staff, and the organization.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensure accurate and timely documentation, and maintain accurate records.
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of new policies and procedures, and evaluating existing ones.
- Proven experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager or equivalent, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
- Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
- Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
