As a leading provider of engineering professional consulting and support services, we are seeking a senior environmental consultant to join our team.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who can manage large strategic environmental projects, motivate and mentor junior staff members, and provide excellent project management skills.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Project management of complex infrastructure projects ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high technical standards.
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors, and internal disciplines.
  • Preparation of proposals and input into bids for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Managing project teams and providing technical support and mentoring.
  • Working collaboratively with local and wider teams across Ireland and the UK.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant science or environmental engineering subject (e.g. environmental science, geology, hydrogeology etc).
  • Masters qualified in a relevant specialism is preferred but not essential.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment, specifically in the preparation and coordination of EIARs and non-statutory environmental reports.
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of relevant planning and environmental legislation, and technical guidance and industry standards / best practice.
  • Proven track record in technical report writing and ability to complete technical reports to required best practice standards.
  • Proven track record in project management of major environmental projects and development of bids.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects, both onshore and offshore, and experience in sustainability and carbon management for projects is desirable.
