Key Objectives:

The role of the Behavioural Specialist is to conduct Functional Assessments and develop Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSPs) to support individuals with their behaviour, teach new skills, and enhance overall quality of life. This involves promoting Positive Behaviour Support across the organisation through quality checking and improvement planning of Personal Plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Live our Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Manage an individual caseload
  • Travel to different locations as required
  • Complete Functional Assessments as needed
  • Develop MEBSPs in collaboration with relevant others
  • Oversight of MEBSP implementation and monitoring
  • Provide training to front-line staff
  • Ensure MEBSPs are of high quality and compliant with regulatory standards
  • Quality check Personal Plans for each individual as per policy
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Psychology Degree or equivalent MSc ABA qualification
  • BCBA preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area
  • Two years minimum experience within a similar role or health/social care setting
