About the Role:

TN Ireland is seeking an experienced Safety and Health Specialist to join their team in a PSDP Safety Advisor capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety and health legislation and at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Discharge of PSDP role: Ensure the effective discharge of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) on construction projects.
  2. Client/design and site meetings: Attend client, design, and site meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Preliminary safety and health plans: Prepare preliminary safety and health plans for construction projects.
  4. Safety files and reports: Compile and prepare safety files and reports for construction projects.
  5. Site visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  6. Liaison and coordination: Coordinate and liaise with all parties involved in a construction project to ensure smooth project execution.
  7. Competence review: Review the competence of duty holders to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
  8. Inspections and reports: Conduct inspections and prepare reports on legal cases concerning health and safety.
  9. PSCS coordination: Work with contractors' PSCS to discharge the role of PSCS on construction projects.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant degree: Hold a relevant third-level degree.
  2. Safety and health legislation: Have a strong understanding of safety and health legislation.
  3. Experience: Possess at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  4. PSDP experience: Have experience working in a PSDP capacity.
