About the Role:

Asset Recruitment is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Carlow to recruit an EHS Specialist for a contract position.

In this critical role, you will provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with local legislation, standards, and industry best practices related to environmental health and safety (EHS).

You will work closely with the EHS team to guarantee that all health and safety regulatory requirements on site meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with local legislation, standards, and industry best practices.">
  • Assist operational departments in achieving and establishing compliance.">
  • Prepare reports to site, divisional, and/or corporate management and regulatory agencies.">
  • Evaluate all EHS applicable requirements for new projects and processes, as well as changes in existing processes and installations.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Technical bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or a science/engineering qualification.">
  • A post-grad EHS qualification would be beneficial.">
  • At least 3 years' experience in EHS, preferably in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.">
  • Proven track record of success in the environmental health and safety sector.">
  • Experience in supporting multiple activities/projects.">
  • Strong understanding of various EHS topics.">
  • Innovative and compliance-minded with a drive to seek out necessary information.">
  • 'Safety First' mindset.">
  • Team player capable of working within a multi-functional team environment.">
  • Ability to influence others across departments.">
  • Self-directed with the capability to use own initiative to make EHS improvements.">
