Job Overview

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing process for various categories within the Macro Cell Site construction & maintenance team. This includes guiding internal clients through the sourcing process, identifying potential suppliers, drafting requirements, analyzing qualifications, negotiating deals, and monitoring supplier performance.

This role is critical in maintaining our market-leading position by leveraging purchasing power combined with your skills and expertise to drive continuous cost savings and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the sourcing process for designated categories.
  • Identifying potential suppliers and assessing their capabilities.
  • Drafting and managing sourcing requirements.
  • Negotiating and finalizing deals with selected suppliers.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive Strategic Sourcing experience, preferably in the Telecoms or construction sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business degree in Sourcing, supply chain, engineering, or construction management.
  • Project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Supply chain certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
  • Program management, budget management, request-for-proposal, and vendor selection experience.
  • Experience with site walk-throughs, construction insurance requirements, and construction bidding processes.
  • Experience in telecommunication/Technology or labour-based sourcing.
