IT Audit Manager Role

The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years' experience within IT audit plus relevant qualifications, with a strong background in information systems and controls.

This role involves assurance of information reliability through IT risk assessment, benchmarking and due diligence, as well as advising on conversion issues and project management risks and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Information system audits: assessment of IT risks and controls, including general controls environment and automated controls embedded within information systems environments as part of an advisory engagement
  • Information systems and controls: ensuring that controls relating to major systems and their implementations are operating to optimal effect
  • Information reliability: assuring stakeholders of information reliability through IT risk assessment, benchmarking and due diligence
  • System implementation and conversion: advising on conversion issues and project management risks and controls
  • Managing multiple client engagements of varying sizes, scope and complexity simultaneously
  • Development and management of engagements and project plans to uphold engagement profitability
  • Lead and review the work of junior team members at various stages of the audit cycle including quality review of fieldwork, management of deliverables and expectations as well as deliverables prepared by junior members
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' of experience working within audit as an External Auditor, IT Auditor, or IT Risk & Assurance with Financial Services exposure
  • Experience in information Systems Audit with experience in IT Security highly advantageous
  • Ideally currently working at Manager level within an accountancy practice firm or financial services institution
  • CISA/CIA/CA/ACCA/ACA or other equivalent qualification
  • Experience in data analytics for audit purposes; CAATs are highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent project management skills
