Manufacturing Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This role will be key to the company's growth and requires someone with experience in fast-paced multinational companies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Providing engineering support to customers and suppliers
  • Supporting production planning and designing new processes
  • Manufacturing prototypes and validating products within specifications
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes, and methods
  • Driving initiatives to reduce costs and improve on-time delivery
  • Applying, maintaining, and improving lean manufacturing procedures
  • Developing processes and implementing a new ERP system
  • Supporting the Engineering team to ensure task flexibility

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or training (Green Belt or higher)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (implementation experience is a plus)
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role
  • Proven experience with process development, optimization, and improvement initiatives
  • Experience in prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects
  • Previous experience in equipment setup, troubleshooting, and production support
Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and methods
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for process or tooling design
  • Understanding of quality control methods and statistical analysis tools
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in manufacturing
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Adaptability to support multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Continuous improvement mindset with initiative to identify and implement changes
