Job Overview

The Senior Data Risk and Compliance Specialist is responsible for leading activities that contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy.

This role requires excellent negotiation skills and strong diplomatic abilities to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners. The successful candidate will be accountable for driving significant business outcomes or providing authoritative advice on business operations.

Main Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the CEP Data Governance Lead in prioritizing CEP data governance adoption initiatives
  2. Liaising with partners to develop and implement data governance / policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications, and training
  3. Leading business analysis through the collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements
  4. Collaborating with the Enterprise Chief Data Office/Banking & International Data Team to establish Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards
  5. Providing expertise in data governance to support key Data Transformation projects across the organization
  6. Ensuring effective data management practices are implemented across the business
