**Job Summary:**

The Formulation and Component Preparation Specialist will provide technical oversight to internal Amgen engineers and discipline leads from A&E suppliers, ensuring that equipment design meets our stringent quality and cost standards. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy engineering expertise, optimize assets throughout their life cycle, and drive continuous improvement methodologies.

**About the Role:**

This position requires strong analytical skills to identify potential improvement opportunities and knowledge of industry trends to stay at the forefront of technology implementation. You will also have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, such as the design and construction of a new Fill Finish production building.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Translate business needs into engineering technology and design solutions
  • Lead analysis of alternatives and recommendations for technical solutions in major projects
  • Support design and equipment selection of process equipment, building systems to optimize quality and cost across the total life cycle of assets
  • Ensure commissioning standards are developed and implemented during system qualification

**Requirements:**

  • Masters degree & 3 years of Engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree & 5 years of Engineering experience OR Associate's degree & 10 years of Engineering experience OR High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Engineering experience
  • Experience with Formulation and Component Preparation area Equipment design and delivery
  • Proven ability to provide direction and oversight to equipment vendors to deliver for the capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical support to manufacturing facilities
