We are seeking an Electrical Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, electrical wiring regulations, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, electrical wiring regulations, and standards.
- Keep records and compile inspection and test reports for the site management team.
- Review and compile test documents from specialist suppliers and subcontractors for inclusion in O&M and BCAR handover documentation.
- Advise on non-compliant installations.
- Inspect wiring and terminations for quality and compliance.
- Write up recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain calibration certificates for test instruments and assist in keeping the test instrument register.
- Carry out electrical installation work as required by the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar position.
- National Craft Certificate.
- Qualified Certifier through a CRU accredited provider.
- Current Safe Pass Certificate.
- Current Manual Handling Certificate.
- Current Abrasive Wheels Certificate (optional but preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of company electrical test instruments.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
- Skill in installing all types of electrical system equipment and components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Packages, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
