
Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to support our mental health services as a healthcare assistant. The role involves working closely with patients, providing care and support, and contributing to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Cooperate with your employer and comply with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 2001.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and respect for patients and their families.
- Support patients with mental and emotional issues under supervision of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
- Assist patients with daily activities, including eating, self-care, and care of their immediate environment.
- Observe, monitor, and record patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
- Support patients with therapy and rehabilitation programmes designed to enable patients to work towards independent living.
- Contribute to the safe running of the unit.
- Complete documentation, including patient records and timesheets.
- Fetac Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001 and related legislation.
- Minimum of one year experience working in a similar healthcare setting.
- Strong Communication/Listening skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong Observational Skills.
