About Our Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative team member to join our organisation as a Financial Management Specialist. As a key contributor to our finance function, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and management of capital projects expenditure and VAT returns.

  • Support the management of creditors and debtors ledgers, ensuring accurate cost allocation and journal preparation for review and posting.

  • Manage income and expenses, including inputting rental and fundraising income.

  • Prepare financial claims returns for review by senior finance team members.

  • Reconcile petty cash and Soldo transactions across services monthly.

  • E nsure internal financial controls are followed in line with purchasing and expenditure authorisation policies.

  • Prepare financial reports for funding agencies and internal stakeholders.

  • Provide regular financial updates and reporting to the Head of Finance.

  • Support annual audit preparation and coordination.

  • Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the finance department.

About You:

We are looking for a part-qualified accountant or Accounting Technician with strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software. A keen eye for detail and commitment to financial controls is essential, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A background in the not-for-profit or charitable sector is desirable, and familiarity with funding applications and state agency reporting is an advantage.
