About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Community Adult Mental Health Team in Nenagh. As an active member of the Multidisciplinary Team, you will work closely with service users who have complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of practice and manage your caseload effectively.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programs for service users according to service standards.
  • Participate in integrated discharge planning processes and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Supervise staff, prioritize work, and promote positive team morale.
  • Foster professional relationships with colleagues and healthcare personnel.
  • Evaluate and document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • CORU registration as a Senior Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in mental health.
  • 1 year experience working in adult mental health, preferably.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • IT skills/knowledge appropriate to the role.
