We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the ENT department.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of providing specialist speech and language therapy services for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Clinical Work
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide information on communication and swallowing abilities.
- Manage an outpatient caseload and contribute to the development of the SLT led clinic in ENT.
- Service Development
- Develop the SLT led clinic according to best practice guidelines to provide a high-quality service to patients.
- Reduce waiting lists by effectively managing patient flow and caseload.
- Education and Training
- Supervise and mentor other therapists and assistants, and be involved in education and supervision of students.
- Provide training and education to healthcare staff to enhance their understanding of speech and language therapy.
- Administration and Research
- Monitor, evaluate, and plan the service as required, adhering to local guidelines on confidentiality and data protection legislation.
- Identify research needs within the service and clinical area, undertake projects appropriate to the service and clinical area, and disseminate outcomes to improve service delivery.
