  • Job Description

The Coin Project aims to advance renewable ocean energy in response to climate goals and growing concerns over energy security and pricing. Our goal is to develop innovative solutions like smart connectors for mooring and power, real-time AI-based wave prediction, and digital twin-based health monitoring to overcome technical and economic challenges in wave energy.

We're contributing our expertise in advanced control (reinforcement learning), forecasting, and digital twin technology to help drive the successful commercialization of this cutting-edge renewable energy solution.

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from our office.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • PhD degree (or Master's with equivalent research and innovation experience)

What we are looking for:

Hewlett Packard Labs is currently seeking a highly qualified, self-motivated machine learning/AI researcher to be part of a new and growing AI research team in Ireland, to accelerate research towards various applications of digital twins incorporating Machine Learning.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong software development skills in Python and Pytorch
  • Strong application experience of Machine Learning with physical systems
  • Good understanding of digital twins, use of ML with Digital Twins, applications to sustainability
