Electrical Panel Technician Role Overview

At our client's organization, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Panel Technician to fill a critical position in their team.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical assembly of switchgear panels, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. The selected individual will be responsible for:

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of form 2 and form 4 electrical panels.
  • Assist in the design of switchgear assemblies as needed.
  • Conduct site installations and perform inspections on completed panels.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams during FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests).

 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical assembly of switchgear panels.
  • Ability to read and understand AutoCAD and E-plan electrical schematics, identifying and addressing any issues.
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear and enclosures.
  • Understanding of different forms of separation.
  • High attention to detail and quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with testing procedures, including insulation resistance testing and electrical functionality checks, is advantageous.
