About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at a state-of-the-art Older Persons Rehabilitation Hospital in Limerick.
As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs for older adults recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Your focus will be on enhancing patients' quality of life and promoting independence in a hospital rehabilitation setting.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional independence.
- Work closely with Multidisciplinary Teams, including Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Medical Staff.
- Support discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition back to home or community settings.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Full CORU registration.
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting.
- Experience working with individuals who have a range of neurological conditions.
