The role of a Facade Engineer at our esteemed client is to play a key part in designing, analyzing and managing the implementation of facade systems for a variety of projects, from commercial buildings to complex infrastructure developments. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure that facade solutions meet technical and aesthetic standards while also ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop facade systems in collaboration with the wider project team.
  • Provide technical input to ensure compliance with safety standards, building regulations, and client requirements.
  • Perform structural analysis of facade components and materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers to source and implement facade solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality of facade installations.
  • Manage facade design documentation and specifications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure facade systems contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability targets.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in facade design or engineering. Strong understanding of materials science, building physics, and structural engineering principles as they apply to facade systems is essential. Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools is also required.

In addition to the above qualifications, desirable skills include experience working on international projects, knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient building practices, and Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
