About the Role

This Sessional Welfare Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing welfare challenges in Northern Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and support, working closely with clients to develop tailored solutions.

Main Duties
  1. Offer advice and information on welfare benefits, housing, and healthcare services in Northern Ireland.
  2. Support clients in completing Welfare Applications, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  3. Advocate on behalf of clients, negotiating with relevant authorities to secure the necessary support and services.
  4. Prioritize urgent cases, providing timely interventions and supporting clients through periods of crisis.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in social security benefits, preferably with a focus on Universal Credits and PIP.
  • Strong understanding of the Army War Pension and Police Injury on Duty schemes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work independently, managing multiple tasks and deadlines. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality is required when interacting with clients and colleagues.
