About the Position

This role offers the opportunity to work within the Amazon Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and contribute to the protection of highly sensitive data. The successful candidate will have experience with common security monitoring, log analysis, and forensic tools.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide security engineering solutions and support during customer-facing incidents
  2. Develop pragmatic solutions that balance business requirements with risk
  3. Improve or expand Amazon's incident response capabilities
  4. Mentor Information Security engineers to enhance security and reduce risk
  5. Evaluate the impact of current security trends and coordinate responses as needed
  6. Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation
