Job Title: Motor Vehicle Training Professional

The Motor Vehicle Training Professional will be responsible for devising and implementing vocational training programmes within the training section to required levels.

To ensure that the training contains an effective mix of theoretical and practical mix, the post-holder will prepare and maintain training materials and documentation.

Liaising with sectoral representatives in the development of training programmes and ensuring new developments are incorporated into the training is a key aspect of this role.

Assisting in the recruitment of students as reasonably required by management and co-operating with the Placement Team to secure quality placements for students are also essential responsibilities.

">

The Motor Vehicle Training Professional will deliver training programmes using a range of methods according to National standards and within required timescales and as required by line management.

">

Both face-to-face and remote learning delivery are expected, as well as creating online course materials for key training programmes in various formats such as e Learning, videos, screen recordings, webinars.

">

Enhancing students' learning experiences using modern online education technologies is critical to this role.

">

Maintaining programme and student records in accordance with company policies and contractual guidelines is also a responsibility.

">

Additionally, the post-holder will liaise with sectoral representative visits and facilitate external verifier visits.

">

Delivering training programmes for external clients as required by line management and working outside of main Vocational Skills considered within the capacity of the post-holder by line management are further expectations.

Special Conditions Students includes assessing students' skills, identifying needs and support required, ensuring completion of Personal Training Plans and Reviews, reporting on participants' attendance at work placements and/or directed training, quality assuring directed training and work placements, and monitoring and maintaining relationships with employers.

Monitoring and Assessment requires ensuring vocationally related qualifications and key Essential Skills competences are assessed to National Standards, reviewing and assessing progress and achievement of students, and maintaining adequate records at all times in accordance with company policy.

Training Environment demands maintaining safe working practices, security awareness, and housekeeping at all times, implementing a Health and Safety programme in accordance with appropriate legislation, reporting, recording, and investigating accidents within the training section, retaining direct responsibility for clients within the section, and supervising clients within other training sections as required by line management.

">

General tasks include attending staff, H & S, and other meetings as required by line management, providing regular and ad-hoc reports as required by line management, participating in staff development and training identified by line management, and carrying out other reasonable duties as required by line management.
