Operational Risk Management Specialist

This is a senior leadership role that oversees and enhances the firm's operational risk management framework. The position plays a key part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with the bank's global standards and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage operational risk activities, including risk assessments, scenario analysis, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Oversee and challenge the operational risk framework to ensure effective risk identification, analysis, and review of key tools.
  • Develop and present operational risk reports for senior committees and the regulator.
  • Act as secretary for the Operational Risk Committee.
  • Maintain and update policies, frameworks, and governance documents for operational risk and resilience.
  • Collaborate with teams globally to align operational risk practices.
  • Provide oversight and input into business risk management activities.

Requirements:

  • University degree in finance or a related field is required. A Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Strong experience in risk management or capital markets within financial services/banking.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and operational risk best practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills are necessary.
  • Experience with IBM OpenPages is a distinct advantage.
