Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

With a rapidly evolving pharmaceutical industry, our client is seeking an experienced Technician to provide crucial support for multiple capital projects in Carlow.
This exciting opportunity enables the chosen candidate to work on cutting-edge facilities, including a state-of-the-art fill-finish facility and a first-of-its-kind vaccine and biologics plant outside the US.
Responsibilities:
- Offer technical assistance to Production in equipment maintenance, installation, and modification.
- Operate and clean process equipment as needed.
- Ensure ongoing preventative maintenance, repairs, and total productive maintenance of process and production equipment.
- Manage equipment shutdown scheduling to minimize downtime.
- Support maintenance planning and completion of planned and emergency work orders.
- Document maintenance work, including upgrades and repair history.
Requirements:
- Time-served MAMF Apprenticeship or equivalent Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Prior experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulated pharmaceutical production environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with preventive/reactive maintenance.
- Understanding of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/pneumatic processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications with excellent communication skills.
