Job Title: Strategic Investment and Financial Manager

As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing capital projects, budgeting, forecasting, and financial compliance. Reporting to the Controller, your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the General Ledger team on asset register management, verifications, and disposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis and budgeting, partnering with the Investment & Reporting Controller to manage capital projects and cost reporting.
  • Support procurement in evaluating project cost estimates.
  • Track investment plans, budgets, variances, and highlight risks or issues.
  • Assist in building maintenance budgeting and monitoring of spend and commitments.
  • Collaborate with the General Ledger team on asset register management, verifications, and disposals.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs aligned with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of financial systems and processes, including SAP.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve planning and reporting efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant with at least two years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in investment appraisal.
  • Proven experience in capital investment accounting and financial reporting.
  • Solid understanding of financial systems, operations, and business processes.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
