Project Manager Lead Job Opportunity:

The candidate will oversee the delivery of an 18.8km fully autonomous Metro system, consisting of 16 stations, 2 significant tunneled sections and a number of complex structures along the alignment.

The project will integrate existing transportation systems through the city and surrounding areas, including airport, rail and tram services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and serve as a role model ensuring high standards are adopted across the project.
  • Advocate for Safety First and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance standards.
  • Champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of wellbeing in the workplace.
  • Ensure successful delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Promote quality and Service Excellence in all conversations and interactions.
  • Responsible for project operations and ensure they are fiscally viable and meet organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
  • Commit to making a positive impact and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold values.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of issuing permits and certificates etc.
  • Experience of applying BS 5975 or equivalent code.
  • Experience of leading temporary works designs teams.
  • Experience of leading interaction between permanent and temporary works team interfaces.
  • Experience of leading cross-project initiatives.
  • Experience of operating within an Engineering environment.
  • Able to champion temporary works in multiple project forums.
  • Able to draft contract scope for temporary works.
  • 10+ years heavy civils experience including stations, shafts and urban locations.
  • 5+ years Temporary Works Coordinator experience on major projects similar to MetroLink.
