Horticultural Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated horticulturist to join our team. As a horticulturist, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of our garden centre and providing expert advice and service to customers.

• Maintain the garden centre to the highest standards by ensuring that all plants, trees, and flowers are well-maintained and healthy.
• Responsible for ordering stock in the garden centre and managing waste effectively.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by focusing on the things that matter to customers.
• Positively interact and communicate with customers to provide them with the best possible experience.

• Relevant qualification and work experience in horticulture.
• Knowledge and understanding of plant establishment and maintenance, pruning, fertilizing, pests, and diseases.
• Ability to use a variety of horticultural tools and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the garden centre's physical space, including gardens, greenhouses, and storage areas.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the garden centre.
