Our team is focused on designing and engineering high-profile consumer electronics. This includes products such as the best-selling Kindle family of devices, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, and Amazon Echo.

The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end system development and design. You will take an active part in defining SoC pinouts relative to packaging constraints targeting low-cost stackup choices and implementing them. Additionally, you will have hands-on knowledge of system integration challenges for portable electronic systems and work cross-functionally for system development and bring-up.

A successful candidate for this role will:

  • Have a working knowledge of consumer electronics hardware system development and integration.
  • Proven track record of delivering platform reference designs.
  • Good working knowledge of processor pinout and board-level signal integrity.
  • Must be able to drive schematic and layout of design from bottom up.
  • Strong grasp on system power delivery and stackup selection.
  • Exposure to chipset bring-up planning and system validation is a must.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of overall experience in design and development
• 3+ years experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment
• Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology, Schematic capture and PCB design experience
• 5+ years experience with EE fundamentals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of related experience
• Experience with leading socket-based Platform PCB design
• Experience with audio, power supplies, video, cameras, I2C/SPI/UART/MIPI/I2S/USB buses, and other high-speed electrical signal characterization
• Expert on establishing board-level Power Delivery Network (PDN) and Signal Integrity (SI) spec requirements
• Experience with battery-powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devices
