Job Summary

As a key player in our mechanical systems team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution and completion of various projects.

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process systems, to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Oversee the compilation and review of turnover documentation, including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, inspection reports, and compliance certifications, guaranteeing all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers, contractors, and operations teams to facilitate smooth communication and coordination regarding mechanical systems, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during final inspections and tests.
  • Work together on testing and commissioning activities, ensuring that all mechanical systems are operationally ready and that performance criteria are met.
  • Evaluate quality assurance and compliance, conducting audits as necessary to uphold safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Assist in the formal handover process, providing training and support to operations personnel and ensuring they are familiar with system functionalities and maintenance requirements.

You need a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and relevant experience in mechanical systems turnover, project management, or a similar role within the engineering or construction industry. You should also have strong knowledge of mechanical design standards, codes, and regulations, proficiency in technical documentation and project management software, and excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
