Families and young people deserve the best possible support to thrive. As a Family Support Worker at SPEEDeck, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality family support services that make a real difference in people's lives.

Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will deliver family support services to meet the needs of our clients, including one-to-one support sessions in our service and through home visits. You will also work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement case plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth work, social care, or a related field, as well as excellent communication and relationship building skills. A full clean driving licence is also essential.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver family support services to meet the needs of our clients
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement case plans
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to our Child Safeguarding Policy
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Responsibilities:

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised relevant third level qualification in Youth Work, Social Studies, Social Care, Addiction or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals/families, women's groups, parent's groups, and/or community development work
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Empathy and understanding
  • Teamwork and organisational skills
  • Record keeping and report writing skills
