We are currently recruiting for a Horticulturist Executive to join our Commercial Team, responsible for managing supplier relationships and driving sales performance across 35 branches nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Listings: List new product lines, process purchase orders, and ensure timely deliveries for promotional and seasonal lines.
- Supplier Management: Manage the supplier price file and resolve any price queries that arise.
- Stock Allocation: Allocate stock on a weekly basis to ensure high availability of key seasonal lines.
- Order Tracking: Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely shipments.
- Sales Performance: Analyze and report on garden centre sales performance across 35 branches nationwide.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Supply Chain, Space Planning, Operations, and communicate category updates.
- Market Analysis: Support market analysis and identify opportunities and weaknesses within ranges.
- Range Reviews: Support range reviews on categories and plan new range launches.
- Promotional Opportunities: Identify and organize promotional opportunities.
Experience and Skills:
- Commercial Experience: Proven experience working within a garden centre business or related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Commercial Awareness: Sound commercial awareness and numerical analysis capabilities.
- Work Organization: Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and commercial drive.
- Problem-Solving: Can-do solution-based approach with dedication and drive to meet tight deadlines.
- Horticulture Interest: An interest in the horticulture industry is preferred.
