Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Willis Towers Watson. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for handling a range of queries and referrals within agreed authority limits.
The role involves following the risk appetite, rating strength & underwriting rules of the portfolio, processing policies, schedules and endorsements on both underwriting and broker systems, and issuing all relevant documentation. You will also be required to liaise with your team, brokers and underwriters on a day-to-day basis on all scheme related issues and develop relationships with them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the risk appetite, rating strength & underwriting rules of the portfolio
- Handle a range of queries and referrals within agreed authority limits
- Process policies, schedules and endorsements on both underwriting and broker systems
- Liaise with your team, brokers and underwriters on a day-to-day basis on all scheme related issues
Requirements:
- CIP qualification or working towards the same
- Relevant years of commercial experience
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites, in particular, Excel
- Be proactive, flexible and demonstrate a keen willingness to assist fellow colleagues
- Must also demonstrate good interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills
