Four-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Opportunity

This comprehensive apprenticeship programme is designed for individuals seeking a career in electrical maintenance. Over the course of four years, you'll develop a range of skills in electrical science, installations, and panel control systems.

You'll be based in our Plant 1 & Plant 2 locations, working closely with experienced technicians. The programme consists of seven phases, with four onsite and three offsite college blocks.

Your role as an Electrical Apprentice will involve:

• Selecting, procuring, and safely storing craft-related tools, equipment, and materials.
• Selecting and utilizing fixing devices.
• Assessing and implementing ETCI wiring regulations, installation inspection, and testing procedures.
• Utilizing electrical test instruments.
• Installing sub-distribution boards and protective devices.
• Installing and maintaining lighting, heating, and motive power systems and controls.

To ensure your success, we require:

• A minimum applicant age of 16.
• Passing the ISHIHARA colour vision test.
• Five passes in Junior cert or three passes in Leaving cert (or equivalent).
• Availability to travel/relocate for three offsite phases.
