Modelling Portfolio Strategist

An Investment Modelling Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing our organisation's ability to assess commercial opportunities, quantify risks and returns, and inform investment decisions with robust financial analysis.

• Develop comprehensive business cases for new investments, projects, and strategic initiatives by constructing detailed and flexible financial models.
• Monitor and analyse key developments across the Irish and EU energy markets, including regulatory changes, auction frameworks, carbon pricing, and capacity market dynamics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for engagement with external commercial and market advisors, overseeing external inputs into market studies and modelling support.
• Lead the preparation of documentation required for investment governance processes, including Stage Gate reviews and Investment Committee submissions.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong background in finance, economics, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:

• Minimum 5+ years' proven experience in business case development, financial modelling, or commercial strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of board-level materials and presentations.
• High attention to detail, with a structured approach to managing complex projects and competing priorities.
