We are looking for a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to take on the role of Director of Nursing in our thriving nursing home in County Carlow. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the clinical team, ensuring top-tier care for residents, and driving innovation and continuous improvement in care delivery.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage the clinical team to deliver high-quality care to residents
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIQA standards
- Recruit, induct, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
- Build strong relationships with external agencies and promote community engagement
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain the home's outstanding reputation
- Implement and oversee health & safety policies, including fire safety and preventative maintenance programs
Requirements:
- Qualified Nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in older person care within the last 6 years
- Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for delivering high-quality care
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- A proactive, results-driven approach with sound decision-making skills
