Healthcare Catering Assistant Job

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Catering Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and beverage services to residents in Hospitals and Nursing homes in Dublin and surrounding areas.

This position requires candidates with at least five years' experience working in a Hospital / Nursing home setting or a high-volume catering background. Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be friendly and committed to their work. They must also be flexible with working hours and able to adapt to new environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and service of meals to residents
  • General day-to-day cleaning of the kitchen
  • Helping chefs with daily tasks
  • Setting up dining rooms for breakfast, lunch, and tea
  • Preparing meal trays for room service
  • Deep cleaning procedures weekly
  • Advising residents on menu choices while considering dietary requirements, allergens, and medical advice
  • Cleaning crockery and cutlery
  • Working as part of the kitchen team and following instructions from management
  • Following HACCP procedures, adhering to strict hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times
