We are seeking a qualified Child Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work with children and adolescents who have moderate to severe/profound intellectual disabilities and mental health support needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and monitor caseloads to ensure clients receive optimum benefit from the psychological service
  • Undertake psychological assessments and therapy for clients on a residential or day attendance basis
  • Maintain records of services provided, ensuring client assessments are filed appropriately in line with professional standards
  • Initiate, implement, and monitor interventions as appropriate to professional standards
Requirements:
  • A recognised university degree or diploma in Psychology with first- or second-class honours
  • A post-graduate professional qualification in psychology, recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland
  • At least 5 years post-graduate experience as a professional psychologist

Candidates should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong interest in working with children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties.
